Boy’s Basketball Participates in Kildonan Classic
The Cavaliers won three games out of four in the coveted Kildonan Classic, which was held at The Kildonan School in Amenia, N.Y., last weekend. On Feb. 15, they beat Hoosac in the opening game, winning 52-51 and rising to 7-9 on the season. On Feb. 16, the Harvey boys faced off against Harmony Christian in their first game on day two of the Classic, winning 70-67 and rising to 9-9 on the season. The Cavaliers later played MacDuffie for their second game in the Classic, winning 49-47, and rising to 8-9 on the season. In the championship game, the Cavaliers faced MacDuffie again, but lost this one 47-39, falling to 9-10 on the season. Strong defensive performances by Jon Jackson, Joe Lombardi and Wolfie Lovell helped the Cavs succeed. Leading scorers were: Matt Bowser, Andrew Hernandez, Jackson, Lovell, Phil Porter, Connor Welles, and Tre’ Wilson. The Kildonan Classic is an annual event involving six varsity basketball teams from area private schools who come together to compete and have fun.
