In their third game of the season the 1-1 Cavaliers dropped to Chase by a score of 11-8, falling to 1-2 on the season. Harvey was neck and neck with Chase during the first half, led by the offensive prowess of the starting attack: Pete Sorenson, Justin Edelstein and Eric Gins. Strong defensive performances by Jake Warshaw, Spencer Wiesner, and Greg Hennings kept the game tight at 3-3 moving into the second half. During the second half Chase pulled away despite an intense effort by Griffin Murray (31 saves) in goal. Harvey played some of their best lacrosse all season during the last two minutes earning a goal by Sam Lavin, assisted by Jamie Lunt, and a goal by Eric Gins. This strong offensive effort was shy of catching up to Chase’s lead. Leading offensive performers include Eric Gins (3 goals, 1 assist), Justin Edelstein (1 goal, 2 assists) and Pete Sorenson (2 goals).
