Girl’s Varsity Soccer - Harvey 3 Wooster 0

A wet turf and a slippery ball did not hold back the girls’ soccer team as they remained undefeated by besting host Wooster 3-0. Midway through the first half, Susannah Berry slipped a ball through the Generals’ defense to Nicolette St. Lawrence who promptly drilled the ball into the back of the net. With only 10 seconds remaining to play in the first half, Nicolette’s crossing pass found Dana Lombardi wide open for a second tally. In the second half, a 20-yard rocket from Madison Haller rebounded off the Wooster goalie straight onto Nicolette’s waiting right foot for the final score of the game. Fullbacks Brooke Stager, Allison Hodson and Erika Osborne and Yulia Josiger, with a little help from Kayla Mogrovejo and Lauren Judisky, played another steady game at defense. Clara Lefton had 8 saves and earned her third shutout of the season.
