In a hard fought match The Harvey School came away with a tight 5-4 victory over the New York Military Academy last Wednesday. Harvey started strong with convincing 10-1 wins by Ben Shapiro and Matt Bernhard at #1 and #2 singles respectively. However, NYMA came back strong sweeping the next four singles matches. Harvey had to sweep all three doubles matches or face the prospect of our first league defeat since 2006. Ben Shapiro and Justin Bernstein dominated at #1 doubles with an 8-2 victory followed by the #2 doubles team of Carlo Civita and Matt Bernhard winning 8-3. It all came down to the #3 doubles team of Josh Suna and Elliott Greenham. Quickly they fell behind 1-4, but they refused to lose as they ran off five straight games and eventually won 8-6 ensuring that the Harvey win streak stayed intact._
