On April 22 The Harvey school tennis team traveled to the Wooster School to take on the always tough Wooster team. Ben Shapiro and Robbie Reeder started things off with convincing 10-1 and 10-2 victories. After a tough losses at #3, 5 and 6 singles it was up to Justin Bernstein to keep us in the match. After a tense back and forth match, Justin through grit and determination pulled off an 11-9 victory. Needing two victories in doubles, our #1 and #2 doubles teams consisting of Ben Shapiro, Carlo Civita, Robbie Reeder, and Matt Bernhard pulled off solid victories to send us to a 5-4 victory. We remained unbeaten in league play at 4-0.

On April 23 The Harvey tennis team hosted a very tough Darrow squad. At number 1 singles Ben Shapiro kept his undefeated season intact with a 10-4 victory over a game opponent. Robbie Reeder then gutted out a hard fought win at #2 singles finally winning 10-8 in a marathon match of close to two hours. After that Darrow swept through the rest of the singles and doubles action to win 7-2. However, even in defeat several players put forth great effort and skill. Josh Suna and Rachel Costa did a great job at #3 doubles and Carlo Civita almost pulled out a victory at #4 singles in a hard fought match. This defeat ended a conference win streak of over a year and a half by The Harvey School. Our record stands at 4-1 in conference and 4-3 overall.
