100 Days to Graduation!
On Tuesday, February 26th the Seniors celebrated their last one-hundred days as Harvey students. Paper was hung to cover the doors to the study hall as parents worked all morning to transform the study hall into a special dining area for Seniors Only. As the doors to the study hall opened, the students were greeted by 100 balloons hanging from the ceiling. The decoration colors for the day were Harvey’s navy and maroon. Special balloon centerpieces were displayed on each table along with glittering confetti.
Each Senior received a pair of flannel pajama bottoms in traditional Harvey colors, embroidered with their year of graduation. Thanks to special permission from the administration, the Seniors were allowed to wear their pajama bottoms for the rest of the day.
Lee Robinson, our beloved chef, volunteered to make the Seniors’ favorite foods for the day which included chicken fingers, tossed salad and 100 cupcakes that were frosted by Senior Class parents Sheryl Bernhard, Lisa Rome and Joanne Suna. In addition, wedges and pizza were brought in, as well as sodas, to make the lunch even more festive. The 100 cupcakes were displayed to read “2008.”
Upper School Head Bob Cook, Assistant Headmaster Dick Wyland and Senior Class Advisor Lesley Boltz were in attendance. Lesley captured the moment with some wonderful photographs.
Special thanks to the Senior Class Parents who made this day happen.
And the count-down begins… 100, 99, 98, 97 …
